I had a good experience with story pirates. It was interesting to see that they had so many kids that sent stories because I have never experienced such a thing.

I had a great experience at story pirates. It was very interesting to see because I’ve never done something like that before.

Today I worked with a women on her word pronunciation. It surprised me that she knew her letters but could not say the words. I observed lots of students interacting with their peers. It was frustrating going over the same thing over and over. I learned about the women I was working with and her children and a little bit of her life background.

At first I was not in the best mind set because the place of learning was rather dirty and I was not sure what to expect. Another girl and I were placed with an older lady who at first was hesitant then she kind of got angry with having to do the placement test but with our help, she seemed to enjoy it a little more, especially when she was able to answer the questions correctly. It felt really good to help her and watch her progress throughout just one meeting.
